Ecotourism
is:
"Responsible travel to natural
areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being
of local people."
Ecotourism is about uniting conservation,
communities, and sustainable travel. This means that those who implement
and participate in ecotourism activities should comply with the
following ecotourism principles:

for both visitors and hosts

benefits for conservation

and empowerment for local people

countries' political, environmental, and social clima
Momchilovtsi
was one of the first villages in the Bulgaria to achieve "village
tourism" by producing home made products and to encourage
the tourist to take part in the making of the products
These products were then sampled and tasted
whilst socialising and enjoying a meal together in a leisurely
gathering
Typical locally produced food:

lutinitsa (Bulgarian sauce)
yogurt
potatoes
cheese
honey
homemade wines and rakia
